EXERCISES

Please continue doing your coaching sessions.
Please write down for each coaching session that you do what are the leanings that you are getting.

Please write at least a paragraph for each of the sessions you do (being coached and being a coachee).
The idea is to journal your thoughts.Note there is no right or wrong way to do this. Just allow your thoughts, feelings, victories and challenges to be noted down after each coaching session that you do.
This will this will be a part of your thesis in learning that you will hand in the end of the Certification.

Please share in the group the following answers
  • Think about preparing for your coaching session. What steps do you need to take to ensure you're rested, ready and centered?
  • During the session, if you find yourself losing presence, how will you restore your presence?
  • Consider topics which you know may trigger you. List them here:
    • When these triggers occur, what methods can you use to maintain presence during a coaching session?
  • Practice exploring silence in your life and in your coaching sessions. Notice at which point an uncomfortable feeling begins to appear.
    • As you begin to experience longer periods of silence, acknowledge this and how you feel.
  • When a client is exhibiting strong emotions or venting, consider what self-talk and actions you will take to maintain presence.

Please find ICF competencies, print them and study them.
These are the base of our coaching practice.
